Ballet Barre

Beneficial for all levels & styles of movement.  Provides the student with essential knowledge of classical & contemporary ballet basics.  Barre work enhances body awareness, cultivates fundamental alignments well as enhances balance & essential core strength.  The combination of ballet barre & modern dance is ideal.

Instructor: Diane Ngo

Diane took her first dance class at age four, and began pursuing ballet, jazz and modern training seriously in high school as a member of the Lynbrook Dance/Drill team.  In college, Diane attended California Institute of the Arts (Calarts) where she studied Dance Performance and Choreography, and graduated magna cum laude from UCLA in 2011 with a degree in World Arts and Cultures and Visual and Performing Arts Education.  Dance has afforded Diane the opportunity to study under such greats as Donald McKayle, Brian Friedman, Mia Michaels, Mandy Moore, Tyce Diorio, Dave Scott and Cris Judd and a halftime performance with the Golden State Warrior Girls.  Diane also has musical theater experience is a certified Zumba instructor.  She has been teaching dance for over seven years and has taught for LA Unified School District and for various private studios and is committed to sharing her upbeat personality and passion for dance with her students.

Recommended Items: Please wear shoes with soles that can turn easily on the studio floor. We advise against sneakers, and recommend dance shoes or dress shoes if you have them.
