South Pool is a warm water exercise pool. The temperature ranges from 86-94 degrees and is beneficial for low intensity strengthening and flexibility programs.
This pool is not a lap pool and is not open for open recreation swim time. If you are looking for pool time to do independent exercise please sign up for any of the Wavemakers sections or the Wavemakers punch card, these are non-instructor led classes specifically for independent exercise.
We offer a wide range of instructor led classes, such as Aqua Yoga, Pre/Post Natal, Arthritis H20, Back to Basics, and non-instructor led pool time called Wavemakers. Warm water exercise is a great way to get a low impact workout while sooting muscles and joints. Many of these classes are ideal for those leaving physical therapy and looking for a place to continue this exercise on their own. Note: These class are NOT therapy classes, they are recreational exercise classes. They all take place at the South Pool. For more information, please call (310) 825-1059. South Pool is conveniently located at 1000 Veteran Ave (Rm. A2-07) at Kinross, just north of Wilshire and south of Weyburn.
To access South Pool, head east on Kinross from Veteran Ave. Make a left (north) at the first light, Lot 36/Structure 32. We are located at the end of the turn-around in the Rehabilitation building.
