We all know walking is good for us, but most of us don't do enough of it. On May 22, 2013, leave the desk chair behind and join UCLA Recreation for a walk around campus.
The forth annual UC Walks event kicks off on Wednesday May 22 at noon, when faculty and staff at nearly all UC campuses and medical centers will take a break from their workday and walk for good health.

- Start times 12:10pm and 12:15pm
- Print your map or download it onto your phone
- Prize winners will be emailed on Friday May 24, 2013.
First 650 people who register and participate will receive a 'UC Walks' t-shirt. Meet us (North Athletic Field gates facing Wilson Plaza) between 11:45am-12:15pm to start your pre-walk stretch, donate your slightly used workout clothes to FITTED, and enjoy the walk while wearing your favorite UCLA gear.
After you finish your walk, come back to enjoy give-a-ways from sponsors.WALKING MAP:

Anyone who donates workout shorts, pants (sweats, yoga pants, or capri) or running shoes, will also receive a vintage IHW shirt, and be placed in the drawing for a pair of adidas running shoes. A copy of the walking route will be emailed to all participants the week of the event.
We would like to recommend a few free iOS apps designed to help you lead a healthy lifestyle! They can track the progress of your athletic activity, help you set fitness goals for yourself, and even tell you how healthy food products are just by scanning the barcode. Give them a try and let us know what you think! Also, don't forget to take advantage of your employee discount at the UCLA Store.
