Tahitian Dance

Experience the captivating dance of the Tahitian Islands. Sweat to the beat of the "toere" drums and rock your hips away to the exciting sounds of Tahiti. Work out to hip hop, reggae, and Polynesian music! No prior experience necessary.

Instructor: Corine Harmon

Professional dance performer, choreographer and certified instructor, Corina is one of the most talented rising stars of Middle Eastern and Tahitian Dance. Corina was born in New York and raised in Bali, Indonesia where she had her first performance at 6 years old. When she was 18, Corina moved to LA to pursue a higher education and graduated from UCLA in 2010.  While pursuing her studies at UCLA, Corina supported herself by performing and teaching belly dance throughout the LA area.  Corina has studied with internationally renowned master teachers of world dance not only in LA but in Turkey, Hawaii, India and Indonesia.  She continues to perform at several restaurants, concerts, festivals, competitions, weddings and other special events all over California and abroad. Corina strives to impart the rich beauty and magic of dance among her students and inspire them to be creative and culturally aware citizens of the world.

Recommended Items: We recommend that students wear a sarong to class to comfortably learn and practice the Tahitian dance techniques. However, loose, comfortable clothes will suffice.
