SUPERVISOR- ROPES COURSE & TEAMBUILDING

Outdoor Adventures - Challenge Course, Sunset Canyon Recreation Center

Job Description: The ropes course supervisor, in-chargeof a team of facilitators at the Outdoor Adventures Challenge Course, will be responsible for the safety and well-beingof a diverse group of participants engaged in team-building activities on high and low ropes elements.  The supervisor will coordinate a confirmed workshop or series of workshops and arrange all necessary planning.  The supervisor will also be a contact person between the group and Outdoor Adventures and will correspond with them for details about reservations and scheduling.

Qualifications: The qualified applicant will have experience working with diversegroups of peers, adults, and students, a genuine enthusiasm, interest, and commitment to team-building activities, comfort and ability to talk in front of large groups.  The position requires a minimum commitment of 1 year and a minimum of 24 workshops per year.

Attendance at quarterly trainings and monthly meetings is mandatory.

Additional requirements: Experience as both a participant and facilitator on varied ropes courses. Staff managing experience and ability to work with a team of facilitators. Experienceclimbing, belaying and teaching safe climbing techniques and belay methods. Knowledgeof and/or willingness to learn community and campus facilities and resources for group use. Prior knowledge of workshop planning and activity sequencing.

Pay Rate: $100 for ½ day workshops, $150 for full day workshops

Work Hours: Varied
