UCLA Recreation Personal Fitness Trainers are certified by nationally recognized fitness and sports medicine organizations. Personal Fitness Trainers can evaluate fitness levels, instruct technique, establish and update exercise programs. Personal Fitness Trainers specialize in strength training, cardiovascular training, sport-specific conditioning, yoga, pilates, flexibility, rehabilitation, and weight & lifestyle coaching.

Who should see a personal fitness trainer?
- Patrons who need an individualized program for their specific needs and goals.
- Patrons who desire individual attention and feedback.
- Patrons who have reached a plateau, and would like to enhance performance.
How often should I work with a personal fitness trainer?
- The number of visits with a Personal Fitness Trainer will be based on your specific needs and goals, along with a trainer's recommendation.
- Patrons seeking an individualized exercise program may want to purchase 2-4 sessions. Those new to exercise may need to purchase additional sessions.
- Patrons who want to spice up their current workout or performance may only need to purchase 1-2 sessions.
John Wooden Center:
One hour sessions are $39/hr for students and $49/hr for Recreation Card holders.
