UCLA Recreation offers a wide range of recreational activities and services. Our programming encompasses the competitive, social, cultural and instructional aspects of recreational activity. UCLA students, faculty, staff and eligible alumni affiliates (and their family members) can access our many programs and facilities.

UCLA students, through their tuition and fees have access to recreation facilities and may purchase additional services. UCLA faculty, staff, emeriti and alumni affiliates (and their family members) are eligible to purchase a membership for access to our many programs and facilities.

Facility Info & Hours

Finding time for exercise can be a challenge. That’s why UCLA Recreation has 15 multi-purpose facilities and 6 pools—both on and off campus—to make your workout easy and accessible no matter where you live, work or play.



Open Recreation

With Open Recreation, we put you in charge of your own workout schedule. Open Recreation is designed to be flexible to fit your lifestyle. No additional fees for students or other members unless equipment rental is required.



Adaptive Programs

UCLA Recreation provides therapeutically-based recreation programs for people with cognitive and physical disabilities that expand their access to opportunities that promote physical fitness, health and wellness, increased self-esteem, and greater functional independence.



Aquatics

UCLA Recreation manages six aquatic facilities throughout the campus and strives to meet the needs of all its participants by offering a variety of programs and services. Such services include swim lessons for youth and adults, Master’s swimming, leisure swimming and a variety of innovative aquatic fitness classes that cater to all ability levels.



Club Sports

The Club Sports program consists of more than 30 clubs and nearly 1500 participants. All clubs are administered by UCLA Recreation, however, all clubs are organized by student officers.



FITWELL

The UCLA Recreation FITWELL Program activates wellness on campus by educating, motivating and empowering faculty, staff and students to make healthy lifestyle choices specifically in the areas of fitness and exercise, nutrition and weight management, stress management, and general health education.



Instructional Classes

We have a broad range of instructional classes available in Arts, Dance, Fitness, Martial Arts, Sports, Swimming, Tennis, Water Aerobics, Yoga and more (choose from the left menu). Many classes are designed for beginning and intermediate skill levels, but there are also advanced classes.



Intramural Sports

The IM Sports program consists of 30 leagues, tournaments, meets, and special events with more than 8000 participants each year. Activities are offered each quarter, including limited activities during the summer quarter.



Marina Aquatic Center

The UCLA Marina Aquatic Center (MAC) is UCLA’s premier water-front recreation facility just 10 miles from campus in scenic Marina del Rey. The MAC is home to various kayaking, rowing, sailing, surfing, and windsurfing classes and trips, as well as the UCLA Crew Teams, UCLA Sailing Team, MAC Junior Crew team, MAC Sailing Club, and Youth and Junior boating programs.



Outdoor Adventures

Outdoor Adventures provides a variety of recreational and instructional opportunities from our Challenge Course to Wilderness Outings, from the Bike Shop to the Rock Wall and from the Resource Center to the Rental Center. Outdoor Adventures is a cooperative outdoor recreation program designed to teach life-long outdoor pursuits.



Youth Programs

UCLA Recreation’s Summer Youth Programs offers a wide variety of summer camps for children in grades K-12. Located at UCLA, the camps emphasize each child’s needs and personal development within a group setting.



Great Student Jobs

Work on campus at the John Wooden Center, Sunset Canyon Recreation Center, Student Activities Center and Pauley Pavilion, just to name a few. We offer flexible schedules and a wide range of hours from very early morning to very late evening.
