Attention all UCLA Recreation Summer Camp Parents
We are pleased to announce that all Recreation Summer Camps and swim lessons will resume tomorrow Thursday, July 31. Please be aware that due to water damage and continued closures on the campus, several major changes have been made to camp locations and minor programming changes might occur.
Thursday, July 31, and Friday, August 1, all camps that formerly took place in the John Wooden Center and/or dropped off & picked up at Lot 7 are moving their drop-off and pick-up to the SUNSET CANYON RECREATION CENTER with DROP OFF & PICK UP specifically at the UPPER PICNIC AREA (UPA) with parking at LOT 11.
All camps taking place at the Sunset Canyon Recreation Center are unaffected.
In order to accommodate the influx of programs Drop-off and Pick-up has been extended by 15 minutes to 8:15-9:00am and 4:00-4:45pm.

John Wooden Center Update
Due to Tuesday's flooding, the John Wooden Center is currently closed as damages are assessed and work on restoring power continues.
We anticipate opening the unaffected spaces of the John Wooden Center for cardio and strength workouts on Monday, August 4.
Collins Court will not be available until further notice due to extensive water damage.
We would like to extend an invitation to all current summer session students and UCLA Recreation members to use the Kinross Recreation Center (KREC) through Sunday, August 3, 2014.
BHIP for Faculty and Staff
The Bruin Health Improvement Program (BHIP) is a three-month program, starting August 18, that offers participants intensive lifestyle training in areas of exercise, nutrition, stress management and mental conditioning.— exclusively for UCLA faculty and staff at no cost.
BHIP.5 is a 12-week weight loss program. This program is appropriate for individuals who are 50 lbs or more overweight and are looking for tailored nutritional guidance and increased physical activity.
BHIP OnRamp is a comprehensive conditioning program that will improve cardiovascular fitness and overall strength and mobility and appropriate for individuals without current limitations looking to become much more physically active and nutritionally mindful.
