Update: Applications for Summer 2017 are now closed.  Thank you for your interest!

UCLA Recreation is pleased to announce ten summer internship opportunities geared towards applicants interested in entering into the field of recreation. Interns will have the opportunity to explore the unique aspects of running a comprehensive recreation program at a major university. General responsibilities include providing assistance, program development, administrative operations, and special projects for both the department and in a specific functional area.

The goal of our summer internship program is to foster the development of recreational professionals by immersing them in fast-paced, hands-on recreation programming. Ten interns will live together in university community housing for the summer and will gain professional experience in a variety of areas within UCLA Recreation.

The following functional areas may be available for summer focus, exploration, and program development. Please be open to all opportunities within the field of recreation as there may be an area of recreation that you are considered for other than your primary focus.

  • Aquatics
  • Club Sports Administration
  • Facility and Event Management
  • Intramural Sports Administration
  • Marketing & Promotion
