Directions
The Marina Aquatic Center is located in Marina Del Rey at 14001 Fiji Way and is accessible by bus, bike, and car. Since parking is scarce (particularly on weekends and special events), we strongly encourage biking, busing, carpooling to the MAC.

- Turn RIGHT onto Fiji Way from Admiralty Way.

- Turn RIGHT onto Fiji Way from Lincoln Boulevard.

Offsite Parking at Dock 52 or Fisherman's Village
Bus
- Santa Monica Big Blue Bus #3 runs from campus Monday through Saturday to Lincoln Boulevard and Fiji Way (from there it is approximately a 20 minute walk to the MAC). For Big Blue Bus info call: (310) 451-5444. On Sundays, #3 originates in Brentwood at Gorham and San Vicente and runs every half hour. #1, #2, and #8 routes start at the UCLA Transit Center on Sundays and connect with the number 3 bus.
- Culver City Bus #6 stops at Westwood Plaza (near the Ackerman turnaround) and runs on Sepulveda Boulevard. At Culver Boulevard, transfer to the #7 bus, which runs on Fiji Way. (Culver City Bus Service Map Link)
- City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) Commuter Express Bus #437 runs to Admiralty Blvd. and Fiji Way Monday through Friday.
Bike/Rollerblade/Foot
The Ballona Creek Bike Path runs past the MAC. For more info, call the L.A. County Bike Map Hotline at (213) 244-6539. If you have a bicycle, feel free to ride to the MAC and lock up at our onsite bike-rack.
Parking
Parking is extremely limited (particularly on weekends and during special events). Free parking is available just a short walk away at Dock 52 on Fiji Way. Pay parking is available at nearby Fisherman's Village. Please be sure to give yourself enough time should you have to park off-site. Dock 52 is a 10-15 minute easy walk and Fisherman's Village is much closer. Please do not park anywhere at the Archstone Apartments. You will be towed. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience.

Free 2 hours of sit-on-top kayak rentals for currently-enrolled UCLA students up to a group of 30.
$10 per person for each additional hour. $100 flat fee for groups over 30. $5 guest fee applies for non-student in a double.
Equipment rentals are available to qualified participants. No experience needed for sit-on-top kayak
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- All rentals (except surfing) are only at the UCLA Marina Aquatic Center.
- Rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis. Before leaving for the marina, call the MAC to check on equipment availability.
- Basic swimming skills are required for all MAC activities.
- All renters must have a current release agreement on file.
- Personal flotation devices, wetsuits, harnesses and spray skirts are included with equipment rentals.
- The MAC may close without prior warning due to inclement weather or unsafe conditions. Prior to leaving for the marina call the MAC to check on conditions.
- You may pay for hourly rentals with cash, check, or credit card.
- If you have not been on the water during the past six months, the Dock Master may modify your qualifications.
Windsurfing is not permitted in Marina del Rey on the weekends due to excessive boat traffic.

Sailing SEO
You will need to do a pre-evaluation at macsailing.org/Testout. Once you pass the pre-evaluation, you will need to pass 8 hours of class with a written test for the boat you want to rent (starting with Sailing I Capri). Contact us at 310.823.0048 or mac@recreation.ucla.edu to set up a SEO.

Learn the basics of kayaking then expand your skills in the open ocean, surf zone and campus pools. The MAC's Sea Kayaking program has something for everyone, whether you want to enjoy the splendor of the marine environment, exercise for a few hours, or develop new friendships. Expect to get wet!
Our entry level "Sit-On-Top" kayaks are fun, stable, and perfect for beginners. There is no prior skill requirement for rentals, making them ideal for groups and fun afternoon paddles in the marina. UCLA students can rent sit on top kayaks for free during regular rental hours.

Already have kayaking experience?
No experience is necessary to rent a Stand Up Paddleboard at the UCLA Marina Aquatic Center during rental hours. However, first-time renters are required to complete a brief orientation and skills clinic. In this clinic students will learn to properly fit a lifejacket, balance on the board, navigate Marina del Rey, forward paddling strokes, basic turns, and how to fall and get back on the board.

Join the Google Group for any sport area of your interest and stay up to date with the latest information on events, facility announcements and more. The groups act as a mailing lists and can be used to find sailing partners, set up paddle outings, and to share photos. It's the next best thing to being at the MAC!
Steps to Join:

2. Sign in to view the group.
NOTE: You can sign in using an existing google account or you can create a google account using any email address.
3. Apply for membership to the group and set your notification preferences.
4. Once Approved, you will receive an email with you acceptance into the group and you will be able to view and post messages.
To send messages:
Send an email to the list using the lists.ucla.edu email address associated with the group or post directly from within the group. All posts will be approved by MAC staff before being distributed to the list.
If you wish to leave the group:
From the ‘My Groups’ tab on the Google Groups page, select ‘Leave Group’ at any time. You may also edit notification settings if you wish to remain in the group but want less frequent notifications.

The UCLA Marina Aquatic Center is closed until further notice. Group kayaking reservations are not currently being accepted.

The Marina Aquatic Center specializes in working with groups to plan and deliver group adventures. Activities in the past have included kayaking, rowing, sailing, and sunset paddles with barbecuing and many other activities.
Reservations are required for kayak groups of 10 or more individuals and should be made at least one week in advance. Currently enrolled UCLA Students are eligible for two free hours of sit-on-top kayak rentals for a group up to 20 participants. There is a $100 flat rate fee for groups of students over 20 (up to 40 maximum participants) and a $5 guest fee applies for non-students sharing a double kayak.

Past campus organizations that the MAC has worked with include residential hall groups, student government groups and student clubs, Marina del Rey and West Los Angeles companies, and many others.
